Android 8.0 features – We surely don’t know how well will the different Android OEMs will work to bring the latest Android update, Android 7.0 Nougat, but Google has never stopped working on the regular major OS updates, with one such update every year. After the Android Nougat update in 2016, the OS maker is now working on the next version, i.e. Android 8.0. The name of that could be anything, either Oreo or something else starting with the “O”, but more than the name, it will be the features that we look out for.

COPY LESS FEATURE – Android 8.0 Features

Google is reportedly working on a new feature called Copy Less that will apparently be cutting down on the hassle of copying text from one app and pasting it on another.


Example :

  • You and a friend are having a conversation in a chat about where to eat dinner and you find a good restaurant in the Messenger app.
  • You must share the place / address to your friend.
  • Address will show up in auto suggest when you text him/her with the words “its at”.
  • So you don’t need to copy any more. 🙂

No information regarding whether the feature will be added to Google’s standard-issue Google keyboard app has been shared yet.

FINGER GESTURES – Android 8.0 features

Google will also be adding a feature that will allow users to make use of finger gestures to perform actions on their smartphones.


  • Draw C on screen and get recent contacts open.
  • This feature is already given out in some mobiles like Redmi, Gionee, etc., and in custom rom’s.
